Fifth Grade
CERAMICS
Welcome to our 5th grade ceramics class! We will be learning how to create beautiful and unique pieces of art using clay. We will explore different techniques for shaping and decorating our pieces. We will also learn about the history and cultural significance of ceramics. By the end of the class, students will have the skills to create their own one-of-a-kind ceramic creations.
MASTER PIECE RE-MIX
Inspired by anonymous British Street Artist Banksy and his "Crude Oil" exhibition of 2005, 5th Grade Voice & Choice students explored different eras of art history before choosing a Master Work to "Re-Mix" with a contemporary issue: Social, Political, Economical or Environmental. Their results are unique and thought provoking juxtapositions of the past and present.Â
DIGITAL PAINTING
Inspired by the symbolism, folklore and dynamic imagery of contemporary artist Blaine Fontana, students created a stylized digital painting juxtaposing a focal point of their bird of choice with various artistic components to develop essential digital painting techniques of design, composition, pattern and graphic layers.
